OUR MISSION

Establishing a Domestic Source for Graphite, A Critical Mineral.

The US Geological Survey and the Department of Defense identify Graphite as a critical mineral because it is used in a large number of important industrial and defense applications, including brake linings, lubricants, powdered metals, refractory applications, steelmaking, and perhaps most importantly, energy storage.

“We are in the midst of a global battery arms race which, so far, the U.S. is a bystander…The impact on the demand for critical battery raw materials of Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, and Graphite have been unprecedented.”

—Simon Moores, Benchmark minerals
